The brand-new quartet EHBO unites four generations of Dutch improvisation legends. The group was born during the Han Bennink Vierdaagse at De Roode Bioscoop and brings together musicians who have each left a deep mark on the jazz and improvised music scene.

Han Bennink, renowned for collaborations with jazz greats like Dexter Gordon and Sonny Rollins and co-founder of the Instant Composers Pool (ICP), joins forces with bassist Ernst Glerum, also a long-time ICP member. Saxophonist Benjamin Herman, best known from New Cool Collective, and pianist Oscar Jan Hoogland, a leading figure in Amsterdam’s improvisation scene, complete the lineup.
