Description
Virtuoso organist Cameron Carpenter joins the Rotterdam Philharmonic for a spectacular evening where tradition meets cosmic imagination. Known for his flamboyant style and fearless interpretations, Carpenter brings Saint-Saëns’ monumental Organ Symphony to life, described by The New York Times as “fantastic and unforgettable.”
The programme bridges centuries: Samy Moussa’s A Globe Itself Infolding (Dutch première) stands as a 21st-century counterpart to Saint-Saëns’ romantic masterpiece, while Heather Pinkham’s Nowhere and No-When (Dutch première) reaches outward, a dialogue with the universe. Pianist Ralph van Raat adds brilliance, praised for his “sensational lucidity,” in a concert that promises both grandeur and wonder.
