On International Women’s Day, 8 March, Jasmine Myra makes her debut performance with us! Based in London, this saxophonist, composer, and bandleader is a rising star in the vibrant and boundary-pushing British music scene. Surrounding herself with some of the best young talent in the city, Myra creates original, instrumental music inspired by artists like Bonobo, Ólafur Arnalds, Kenny Wheeler, and Moses Sumney.

Her second album, Rising (Gondwana Records), builds on the acclaim of her breakout debut, Horizons, and solidifies her place as one of the most exciting voices in contemporary British jazz. Myra was discovered by acclaimed trumpeter and Gondwana label head Matthew Halsall, whose work with acts like GoGo Penguin and Mammal Hands has gained worldwide recognition. Halsall, a key figure in the resurgence of British jazz, played a pivotal role in shaping Horizons and continues to influence Myra's musical journey.

With Rising, Myra has crafted an outstanding and immersive listening experience. This album marks a bold new step in her career—surpassing the achievements of Horizons and proving she’s ready to conquer Europe’s most prestigious stages.
