The Dutch band Laura Palmer has been captivating audiences since 2012 with their unique blend of shoegaze infused with modern experimentation. Their music flourishes on gritty noise-driven drones, shimmering melodies, and immersive soundscapes, creating a "controlled chaos" that defines their sound today. Laura Palmer's music feels like a relentless train ride through a dystopian, desolate landscape—raw, evocative, and utterly transformative.
In early 2024, Laura Palmer released their long-awaited debut album, Exploding Head Syndrome. Inspired by a condition likened to sudden explosive sounds or flashes of light in the head, the album is a fitting metaphor for the band’s turbulent yet mesmerising musical journey.
Adding to the night’s atmosphere, Death By Audio will deliver an electrifying opening set. This four-piece ensemble combines reverb-laden guitars with haunting, ghostly soundscapes, striking the perfect balance between noise and melody. Their music bridges post-rock and shoegaze with a distinctive vulnerability, evoking both beauty and uncertainty.
Organised by Rotown and V11, this concert will feature standing room only, making for an up-close and intense experience.
