The Amsterdam-based self-proclaimed “nu-punk” band, Indian Askin, is led by the multi-talented producer and multi-instrumentalist Nelson ‘Chino’ Ayala. Known for their groovy, radio-friendly take on rock ’n’ roll, the band maintains its signature sound while staying rooted in punk rock and grunge influences from the ’90s. Chino draws inspiration from his father, a harpist and percussionist, blending this with his personal fascination for the rebellious energy of punk music.
Indian Askin is no stranger to big stages, having performed at renowned Dutch festivals like Pinkpop and Zwarte Cross. Their debut album, Sea of Ethanol, even earned them an Edison Award in the category of Best New Artist. With a fresh album set for release in February 2025, the band is poised to captivate audiences once again.
