Description
Belgian trio Bluai brings their evocative melodies to Roodkapje, Rotterdam, on Tuesday, 26 November 2024. This is your chance to immerse yourself in their unique blend of Americana, countrypop, and indie folk—perfect for fans of Big Thief, Pinegrove, and HAIM.
Led by songwriter Catherine Smet, Bluai crafts songs filled with sepia-tinged nostalgia, drawing from childhood memories and transporting listeners to cinematic landscapes. While their stories are rooted in Belgium, their music takes you on a journey to a ranch in Mississippi, complete with galloping horses and the vivid colours of an autumnal coming-of-age soundtrack.
This year, Bluai released their debut album, Save It For Later, a heartfelt collection of tracks with a central message: preserving and celebrating nostalgic emotions. Their enchanting sound has earned them acclaim, recently winning Humo’s Rock Rally, De Nieuwe Lichting, and the Sound Track awards—three of Belgium’s most prestigious music prizes.
Doors open at 20:00, with the concert beginning at 20:30. Tickets are available from €13.50, including service fees. This is a standing-only event, brought to you by Rotown and Roodkapje.
Looking to surprise a fellow music lover? For just €2 extra, you can order a beautifully packaged gift ticket—a wonderful way to share the experience.
