Eric Vloeimans & Jörg Brinkmann: From Morricone to Aznavour

Eric Vloeimans, one of the most renowned jazz trumpeters in the Netherlands, returns to LantarenVenster. This time, he joins forces with German multi-instrumentalist Jörg Brinkmann.

Known for his unique, velvety sound that can be both powerful and gentle, Eric is celebrated for his versatility and creative energy across various projects. For this performance, he teams up with the talented cellist Jörg Brinkmann. In this show, Brinkmann’s cello is masterfully played with the fluidity of a guitar, showcasing his exceptional skill.

Eric and Jörg have previously collaborated in productions such as Eric Vloeimans’ Oliver’s Cinema and the soundtrack for the film Wild Port of Europe (2022), which earned Vloeimans an Edison nomination.

The evening blends original compositions with pieces from Italian composer Ennio Morricone and Franco-Armenian singer-songwriter Charles Aznavour. With their strong bond and musical chemistry, this promises to be an inspiring evening where both artists push each other’s boundaries.
