‘Gegen Die Wand’ 20th anniversary with director Fatih Akin
On 23 November, KINO partners with the Goethe-Institut to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Gegen Die Wand (2004), Fatih Akin’s explosive tale of love, rebellion, and identity. This modern classic, which garnered the prestigious Golden Bear, tells the story of Sibel and Cahit, two Turkish-German immigrants who enter into a complex and unconventional marriage that eventually grows into a passionate relationship.
