Walk For Freedom 2018 in Rotterdam

On Saturday afternoon, October 20th 2018, several hundred people took part in the "Walk For Freedom" in the Rotterdam city centre. The reason for the march is to demand attention for forced prostitution, forced labour and trafficking in human beings.

The demonstrators walked silently among the shoppers in the heart of Rotterdam before ending with a march and applause at the Stadhuisplein.

Walk For Freedom is an initiative of A21, a nonprofit organization with the mission to end slavery. The name A21 stands for Abolitionists of the 21st century. Currently, they have offices in 14 countries, including the Netherlands, but are active around the world through their A-Teams. Check out the A21 website for more information.
