This new Venezuelan cafe opened in my barrio, Schiebroek. "Vis specialiteit Arepas." Of course, I asked for coffee and ended up with a cappuccino and two freshly made empanadas with delicious homemade garlic sauce.
Update! Unfortunately, the place has been sold. The previous owner is still cooking and selling Venezuelan food from her home kitchen. This message was posted to their Facebook page:

The place is located on Schiebroek's main shopping street, Peppelweg. It's kinda easy to miss, so keep your eyes peeled while looking for it. At the time of my first visit, it used to be called 'Arepas Hot Brasserie,' but the name was recently changed to Vis specialiteit Arepas. The decor has also changed a little bit.
